General Rules

Whenever individuals live together, discipline is necessary and this is especially true of an educational institution. This discipline is formative, not repressive. It leads the student to develop self control, which is the essence of a well ordered and successful life.

  • Every student should carry the school diary with him/her daily.
  • The Warning bell before the class is a signal for all to go to their respective class rooms. This should be done in silence. Teachers also are requested to go to the class and keep discipline in the class.
  • All pupils are expected to be present for assembly.
  • The attendance is taken at the beginning of the session.
  • No child is permitted to leave the school premises without the permission granted by the Principal, which will be granted only at the specific written request of the parents.
  • Students are expected to show respect to the staff. They should stand and greet them when they enter a class as well as, when they leave the classroom.
  • Students are expected to show gentleness and courtesy to their companions. Refinement should distinguish every pupils of this school.
  • All should be habitually clean and neatly dressed. A student who is slovenly dressed may not be permitted to get in to the class room or may even be sent home.
  • During recess pupils are expected to leave the class room.
  • The Principal has the right to confiscate from the pupils books, newspapers, periodicals and other items which may be considered objectionable.
  • All students must speak English in the school.
  • Money should not be lent or borrowed nor should articles be exchanged among the students.
  • No collection for any purpose whatsoever is to be started and no meeting, demonstration, party or picnic be held without the prior permission of the Principal.
  • Presents to the members of the staff or any gathering in their honour also requires the previous permission of the Principal.
  • Any pupil desiring to be exempted from P.T. or Games must produce a doctor's certificate to the effect that he/she is physically unfit to take part in them.
  • Pupils are not permitted to attend parties, see cinema or go to friends’ house on their way back home from school.
  • Students will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
  • Proper care should be taken of the School Property and no pupil should scratch or spoil desks or chairs or damage any school furniture, write or draw anything on the wall or in any way damage things belonging to others. Damage done even by accident should be reported at once to the class teacher or to the Principal. Any damage done will be made good by the one who has done it. Anyone who seems something damaged should report the matter even if he/she does not know who has done it. No pupil should bring razor blades or any sharp instrument to school.
  • All letters and correspondence addressed to pupils are subject to the scrutiny of the Principal.
  • The school is not responsible for articles or money lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable things (like expensive watch, fountain pens, camera, any electronics items etc.) to school.
  • Running, playing, shouting and whistling inside the School building is not permitted.
  • Parents /Guardians/Visitors are not permitted to walk in to class rooms or interview teachers during the class hours.
  • School note books and text books must be covered properly with the prescribed papers.
