For Parents
In order to secure all that is best in the education of your son or daughter, maximum co-operation between parents and school authorities is necessary. We earnestly recommend that parents or guardians look into their children's school diary every day and find out all that has been done. Children should be encouraged to cultivate neatness habitually, and slovenliness should be firmly disapproved of. Remarks made in the diary should be seen and countersigned regularly.
Criticism of a teacher in the child's presence should be strictly avoided because it causes the child to lose his/her respect for the teacher. If you have a legitimate complaint, please meet the Principal / Headmistress.
As children advance in age, please guide them to become selfdependent, resourceful and responsible members of the family and society. Encourage them to do their work by themselves like keeping their rooms tidy, making their beds, polishing their shoes and carrying their bags, etc. The formation of such habits early in life inculcates in them the idea of dignity of work, a fundamental personal virtue, which is necessary for a successful career in life.
A student who is ill should not be sent to school to attend classes or take the tests. The chances are that she/he will do badly and consequently spoil the record of her/his term. Cases of illness are settled along with the performance in the term in consultation with her/ his previous record.
Withdrawal of your daughter/son from classes for mere social functions is not recommended because it retards her/his progress in school and minimizes his/her respect for regular hard work, with consequent failure to progress in studies.
Kindly see that the diary is carried by your ward to the school daily and ensure that your ward carries books and notebooks according to the time-table.
Check the haircut, nails and uniform of your ward regularly.
Write name/class on every belonging of your ward including the uniform. Do not allow them to wear expensive watches and/ or jewellery to the school.
Use this diary for any communication with the teachers. Acknowledge all the notes sent by the school regularly
After the third warning card, such a student will be dismissed from the school.
